Our ordering process is very simple and straightforward, and through the entire process, you can feel comfortable knowing that you will be working with only ideal tile & fabrication employees and no other sub-contractors. You will also feel no pressure from our sales people who do not work on commission.
The first step would be to come into our showroom with a layout of your cabinets or rough measurements of your countertops, and we will estimate how many square feet your countertop is. From there, we can pick a stone in our yard, decide on an edge for your countertop, and discuss any sink or cook top cutouts. Once that is all decided, we can come up with an approximate total cost.
The next step is to leave a half deposit, and we will set up a date for us to come and make a template and tag your piece of granite. If you have not yet decided on a color or edge, we can move forward and schedule the template, but would like all final decisions to be made by the time of templating. The purpose of doing the template is so we have exact measurements and layouts of your countertop. One major difference between ideal tile & fabrication and other granite fabricators is you DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE YOUR OLD COUNTERTOPS FOR US TO DO THE TEMPLATE. We understand how inconvenient it is to be without a kitchen, even if it is only a few days, so we can remove your old countertops and install your new ones the same day in only a couple of hours. If you choose us to remove your old tops, there is a $250 charge, or you can remove them if you choose. If you do need help deciding, it is a good idea to bring in a sample of your cabinets, wallpaper sample, paint sample, or a cabinet door, and it is also possible to take a few samples of granite home with you.
The next step, one day after the template is complete, is we adjust the square footage and price accordingly from what we initially estimated, and contact you to set up an install date (generally within 10 days to 2 weeks after). Based on how accurate the measurements you provided us are, there is usually a very minimal change, if any at all. (Please keep in mind that you pay for only what your countertop requires, and you are not paying for full slabs).
Once we have set an install date, and all applicable decisions on color, edge, sink, cook top, and removal of existing countertops have been finalized, we will begin fabrication of your kitchen countertops. Nearly all aspects of fabrication are done here in our shop. The only details we address at the time of install are removing your old countertops (if you choose for us to do so), drill the faucet holes, attach the sink to the granite, and seal the granite. Please keep in mind that our installers cannot fix your cabinets if they are not level, and we are not licensed to reconnect or assemble any plumbing, electricity, or cabinetry. We accept all types of payment including cash, credit card, or check. If paying the balance by cash or check, you may give that to our installers at the time of install, and if paying the balance by credit card, we take payment one day prior to install.
